Missed you guys/gals while I was riding out the storms in a cabin on a northern Puget Sound island for the past 4 days. High winds and high water but my sweet wife and my D25 were all the company I needed to 'endure' our annual New Year's getaway.

On the way home, we had a good look at our tall neighbor to the east, Mt. Baker.

It's good to get back online and visit with all of you in this new year/decade.

Best to all. :D

Same here.... Looks like we got back around the same time. My "break" lasted a little longer though.
Good to be back, good to have you back, and gorgeous pics as usual!
(As you can see from the time I post, I'm still a little "jet lagged") :D

Camano Island.
Off the interstate and west through Stanwood, cross the bridge over the Stillaquamish and there you are.
We've spent time on Guemes as well and it is yet another of the special places in this neck of the woods. Nice 'woods' too!

Yeah, D--n, JOE, thanks for the reminders such beauty still exists on OUR planet! (or should I say "the Lord's planet", since what I really meant to imply was the whole human race has gotta share this one little globe, and no one group can really claim "ownership")

Sounds (and looks) awesome, Joe! I'll have to post a picture of our (urban) New Year in Boston this year. That was cool in its own way too. No Guild to accompany me though.

My sister was in Boston over the holidays to watch the Celtics one night and then the Bruins....outdoors at Fenway another night.
She had a ball, so there's something for everyone! :D

What's the old saying, something like "been there, done that," I believe. Enjoyed the gallery circuit in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and here in Washington state since the early 70s, but not so much anymore. Different roads, different forks, etc.

My plate runneth over with a lot of different entrees, but it's all good!

Thanks Doc,
Joe
