I believe that guitar has been running for some time at a slightly higher price, though I could be wrong.
Before I read the wordage, I thought it might be a refin (or at least oversprayed) because the label is rather dark and looks like it had been oversprayed. I would guess if the factory had refinished it, they would have stuck paper in the f-holes to keep the new finish from staining the inside of the guitar. I am making this guess because I would think that the factory would have done it that way in the first place, but it's just speculation on my part. To expand on the 'guess', I would think that it's a nice refin, but not a factory refin. Also, just because the tuners are from the fifties, doesn't mean they were put on in the fifties......
The binding is shrinking a little (normal), the tailpiece is replaced (normal), the original tuners are long gone, the bridge top is a Hagstrom from the sixties(?), the case has had a few drinks set in it (must have belonged to a jazz player! But, wouldn't an original case from that era be brown?) and the new finish is kluged around from resting in a guitar stand for years.
I'm thinking a price in the $2500 range, 'cause it's always a lot harder to sell a refin, if you get tired of the guitar, or don't like the klunk-o-matic feel of the pushbuttons.
