Hello folks,

Some time ago one of my customers died (not Covid-19 related) and his widow asked me if I would be interested in any of the guitar reference books that her partner had gathered over the years. I glanced over them real quick and I did not see anything that I did not have yet. Obviously I was interested in the copy of 'The Guild Guitar Book' that she had, but I didn't say anything about it because I knew that she would have given it to me.
I promised to look out for people who were looking for a specific title that may be out of print today or hard to find. I don't have a list, but it's about a hundred books and some of the books go back to the '70s. Most of the titles may still be available through Amazon or one of the other on-line book sellers, but if there is a book that you've been looking for and that you can't find, let me know and I'll check if she has it.

Sorry, the copy of 'The Guild Guitar Book' is already spoken for!

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

@hansmoust , he is probably asking about that summary book:

Ralf

That one is readily available from various sources!
My customer had a lot of Japanese publications that I find much more interesting ( and with much nicer quality photos!)

This is one of the books that sold really quick and the one for folks who enjoy the 'Bizarro Vintage Electric Guitars, The Short List, in 2 parts' thread.

Bought all the books from the lady who needed the space that the books were in.

If you've been looking for a particular guitar reference book, let me know!

I have that Japanese *Bizarre Guitars* book -- wonderful! Found it some years ago in a mom-and-pop musical instrument store. Highly recommended if the weird and obscure excites you at all.

Any Rickenbacker bass books? I already have the one by Boyer.

Hans,

Were there any books on the Vega company. I'm thinking of Vega mandolins actually. From the the first half of the 1900's. I'm not even sure if such a book has been written but thought I would ask.

I'm not sure the exact title or author but I think there is a book on the Vega company that covers at least the first half of the 20th century.
On the other hand, I may be thinking of the Washburn / Lyon & Healy book.
