Keefinator,

The M20 is a much smaller guitar than the ones you start looking at. So, it's not going to have as much bass tones Which may be fine for the stuff you have in mind to play. If you are patient, you can find good deals on Guilds. My D-55 was about $1050 and the F47R was just about $1000. Of course, that was a few years ago and prices have gone up recently. I would keep you eyes on the For Sale section here, and at another forum , Acoustic Guitar Forum. They don't show up as often there, but they do pop up. If you see something on eBay or Reverb. post you questions about it here first. We can steer you clear of things you may not know to look for.

Like this one:

I would want others to comment on this one. The headstock looks not very precise.

That F-40 is awesome.

I play a lot of country blues (working my way through S. Grossman DVDs).

I really do like the look of the M-20 but worried it might feel a little to small for an all around guitar.

From what I have heard it seems to be closer to a 0-15 than a 00-15.

I called Carters, Gruhns, and a couple Guild Dealers around me but nobody had one.

Right now I am leaning towards a smaller guitar M-20 or 00-15 and then a less expensive F-2512.

I need to play some to see what feels good in my hands.
