Nice line-up of 'burst archtops. What's the 4th one back... looks like an early '50s X-50? Any come home with you?

Wish I could say I was there! This pic was gleaned from the impressions at the Gear Page. Apparently the one in front was $2200, that's all i know of details from the pic.

I just got off the phone with Jay, that beauty of an X-175 should be arriving here next week! Whoohoo!!

BTW, this is the same guitar featured in the other tailpiece rivet thread.

Nice score Val!!! Do you know what year it was made? Is it either '55 or '56 as suspected?
I actually like the look of the rivets......gives it a kinda "industrial" look..... 8)

Thanks.

I consulted with Hans about this particular guitar and he was very helpful as always. He thinks the body and neck were made in '54-55 (due to headstock design and lack of fingerboard binding), then final assembly with '56 serial number was done in '56. It's got a 1-11/16" nut width and the longer scale. Should be a fine gigging axe!

Jay was a great guy to deal with, btw!
