Good eye! I completely missed it since it wasn't listed as an S-100.
Yeah, apparently it's a "JS Series"!
Here's what I do with Ebay that might help:
I search Musical Instruments for "Guild" then choose the option "Sort by: Time: newly listed." After you've looked through all the Guild listings once or searched for something specific like "S-100," checking the newest listings a couple times a day ensures you won't miss anything without having to look at a lot of listings you've already seen.
As for Craigslist, I came up with a good set of Google search terms that I use. The key was adding the date. For example:
Guild musical instruments 2009-07-12 site:craigslist.org
This cuts out most of the non-guitar "guild" listings and keeps the number of search results to sift through pretty low.

Qvart, if you don't mind me asking, what's a reasonable price for that guitar?
Less than I paid for mine!!!
I'd say maybe around $1000 if it's in really good condition, give or take. They don't show the case in the auction but I'd go lower if it's non-original, maybe $900. But then again if the "soft case" is original it's probably one of the chintzy ones Guild offered back then, in which case it's nothing to get excited about.
It does look pretty damn good from what I can tell. No abuse that I can see (check the close ups of the fretboard, frets, pickup covers, headstock, binding, and back of the body). Of course there may be issues you can't see so I would just recommend trying to get more details if possible. If you want even better info ask to see the wiring and the underside of the pickups. But they're a pawn shop and may not be willing to put much more effort into selling it, or be familiar enough with guitars to give the kind of info that would help you most. You might at least be able to get them to plug it in to check that the pickups, selector switch, phase switch, pots, and output jack work correctly. But it is all original and has not been refinished. And the TRC isn't upside down!!!
I can tell you that there is a lot finish checking, which is probably to be expected. Mine has some and with this particular natural finish it's not all that visible unless the light catches it a certain way, then it stands out. Looks like the worst of it is on the back of the body too and not the front. I'd be more concerned with chipped or worn finish, or buckle rash. Don't see any of that though. And the dings look to be pretty minor.
One thing that's not visible that I would ask to see a picture of is the back of the neck, just to make sure the finish isn't worn off or to see if there are dings or marks, maybe from sitting in a stand. Possibly the bottom of the body too where the strap pin is. Although I think that is one of the original black pins. Oh, a picture of the nut and side of the neck/fretboard would be good too because even though these are less likely to suffer decapitations than say an SG, a good bang of the headstock will cause the neck to crack or the fingerboard to begin to separate.
Feedback for the seller looks decent, and they have some experience selling and shipping instruments. Just try to get more info and if they aren't cool about it then be wary.
Okay, hope that helps.

BTW, I did get my money back plus initial shipping.
THAT is awesome! Glad to hear it!
You paid $800 for that '72. This one will probably run a bit more than that but if it checks out it might be worth it if you really want one.
