Hi everyone, I recently bought a Guild T-100-D. I don't know if this one is original. I'd love to hear your reaction. serienr: 6278 20211213_192216.jpg

Simply gorgeous!! Love the burst color. Almost like tanned leather. (y) I'm new here myself and joined because of my T-100d...your's baby brother, from 66. ;)

For a first year production 63 year old guitar that begs to be played, it looks to be incredibly well kept!!

So beautiful! Welcome to the forum and a great first post. I wish I still had my first '59 T-100 with those cool clear knobs.

Very nice. Yes, the bridge is not original, but as long as it works, no big issue. You may want to consider replacing it with something with adjustable saddles for better intonation. The Franz pickups are the important feature you'd want in order to keep it original. Those old Franz pickups go for a lot of money, if you can find them.

Thanks again for the messages and information. A small repair has been done to the tailpiece (where the strings clamp in). Perhaps it can be replaced in the long run. I'll have to take a closer look when I change the strings. Furthermore, it plays and sounds Super. That's the most important thing, I'm curious what the original bridge looked like. Does anyone have pictures/information?

nice, 66 is my year of birth. I was actually looking for one with the mickey mouse pickups (I'm a fan of Oliver Wood's sound) but ran into this 58.

As Walter stated it is a Bigsby bridge which is designed for a wound 3rd (G) string. It also only goes on one way, the way it is in the photo. Nice looking guitar!
