Seriously! Harp tail piece so it's an old true hollow body BB, moustache headpiece instead of a bump, also dating it, gold knobs...that's a really nice old one, late 50's, I think...but since I'm at work and not near my book, can't say for sure!

Thanks for the post Mark. I like Shawn Colvin even more now! That's a beautiful Aristocrat.

Whenever I see well-known stars playing a Guild, it makes me wonder whether I was bidding on the same guitar at one point on eBay. Although I'm sure they most often get theirs from the scouts and well-connected dealers, I wonder sometimes if I was,
. . . outbid by Feist's guitar tech on a Starfire V,
. . . sniped by Norah Jones for a Starfire III, or
. . . lost the auction for an Aristocrat destined to be a backup for Brendan Benson from the Raconteurs.

Hello jp,

Don't know if it makes you feel better but there have been cases when I lost the chase after a particular guitar and it ended up with a famous player. But when I would see the clips, showing the guitar in their hands, I was glad they got it, instead of me. Well ............... maybe not that one time! I'm still trying to forget that song!

Sincerely,

Hans Moust
