Almost looks refinished. Hard to say. Looks too new to be the original lacquer. Also the binding looks very white. Probably a 56 or 57 model.

Some people do know how to keep their axes in good condition. I wonder how long he's had it! I love that honey-colored top!

It's probably just the glare in that 1st photo that makes it look like a refinished guitar and the white binding looks a little white, but that could be the photo as well. Except for the tune-o-matic style bridge it looks original to me and from the specs I would say it's a very late '57 or very early '58.
