What years did Guild make the smaller head stocks?
I don't like the smaller head on a Dread or Jumbo Guild,
and I was wondering when they were used.
Did Guild offer both styles in those years?

you mean the Gruhn-designed headstocks of the 80's? if you stay out of the 80's and 90's you should be pretty safe.

Looking thru Beesley, the earliest I see the "tapered" version of the headstock on a dread is 1987 (I didn't look at all the different lines). Not all dread models switched... some of the high ends kept the "center-raised" or "domed" headstock. Hoping the Moust vol II will shed some light on the rhyme or reason (or lack thereof) in headstock design.

Gardman, what is "Beesley" ?

Sounds like a reference source I'm not familiar with.
Thanks,
