(approximate translation)
Franck Cheval or Thomas Fejoz are well-known luthiers in your area I believe. They can probably do a good set-up that would solve the issue on your Martin D-35...
High-end Martins guitars are often sold with a rather high action that will give them much power, but can make them a bit too hard to play...The strings used are usually medium gauges (13-56) and all-together that is often too much for non-professional musicians; and for those who like a smooth action...
Can't help you with G-75s - don't even know them - but Guilds too are worth being loved, so when you'll get yours, take the Martin for a good set up...Meanwhile changing stings to lower gauges(medium to light or light to custom-light) could be enough (or would surely help)...I haven't seen a G-75 in France for a very long time (never in fact) so that would be first thing to try...Wellcome

Hi Stephane, I have a D35 and it plays great, have you had it set up?
no i didn't. you think i should ? it's a young guitare what ever. and it need 12 53 to sound good. a little too much for me.. so i want something smaller. and i ve found in love with the G75.

It's amazing how quickly a person can go from not knowing something exists to thinking they can't live without it. Ugh.
ha ha exactly...
Oh - and welcome Stephane! Good luck on your G-75 quest!

Cool, good move I'd say...

If you want to write down an answer in the middle of a 'Quote', you'll have to write down
at the end of the quotation's first part and the things written before the actual original quotation starts (between signs [ and ]) again at the beginning of quotation's 2nd part...Otherwise one can't tell which is which...:)

I have corrected my previous message to try to make it easier to understand (basically you'd need to have [Quotestephane xxx...] and
around each part of the quotation).
Use the "Preview" sign, to the right below the post you are writing, to check out you've got it right, before posting your reply...

Hello, i'm looking for a G 75 rosewood...
any one can talk about this guitare ?
Great day

Hi Stephane, Have you considered a Guild F30R? It is a very comfortable and great sounding model, and much more available, perhaps even in France. It shouldn’t take you too long to find a nice one. I absolutely love mine. The nut widths do vary from different periods of manufacture, so that is one thing the check. Good luck in your quest. Mike

Hey .

Which Periods would you advice me ?

They are all great. The ones I play are the Stanard series from New Hartford because they have a 1-3/4 nut. They are also new enough to typically be in excellent structural condition and not require any work Most others are 1-11/16 nut width but there is variation. A number of the early ones have a 1-5/8 nut width unfortunately.

Looking forward to hearing from your time with Franck Cheval - did you get your D-35 set-up, how much did you pay etc.
Or maybe you just left the Martin D-35 there, or didn't go ?
Does your Martin belongs to those series where they had a Brazilian Rosewood wedge ?

Good : are you happy and comfortable with the guitar now, or do you still feel like changing to a smaller one ?
What he probably did - on top of adjusting the neck - was to file down or adjust the SADDLE it's called (bone part in the bridge). Did you enjoy talking to him ? I met him once at a luthiers' exhibition and found him an interesting person.

It should be a standard (2015) 50th Anniversary (with Indian Rosewood back & sides); otherwise it would be mentioned...Those with the Brazilian wedge were a limited run, only 100 were made, all signed by Chris Martin IV I think ; they had Madagascar Rosewood back & sides with a Brazilian wedge (the central piece of the back), a Européen aged spruce top and more fancy features (much more expensive too). By the way, they've been made in 2015 - not 2016 -, just like yours very likely...

Lovely!!! That does make a difference on where you can look. There is one on Reverb if you haven’t already seen it, but I don’t know where it can be shipped.

Hmmm if only there was an easy way to trade French wine for US guitars.... :)
the guitar is home now ! thanks a lot for your help and your kindness too. best regards
