Welcome, tim w. Some photos will help.

F-47 list from $1600 - $2000+ based on condition and when and where it was made.
Someone should be able to give us more information.

Hi Tim, welcome!

That format sounds like a Corona CA type number, but I suspect it'll have a 3-letter prefix starting with "C". I believe F47Rce's used "CUT" which ID'd the specific model, and yours would be #59: "CUT000059".

I believe that's low enough to be a 2002 model, first year of Corona production.

How did I do? ;)

I don't really follow market values but a quick search showed this 5-year old listing at $950.00 which I would definitely regard as low these days. The market's appreciated a lot since then.

Does yours look like this?

I'd expect '02-'04 F47Rce's to retail around $15-1800 these days depending on condition and having original case is a must as they're not easily fitted, let alone finding an original.

Sounds like you plan on keeping her. Love that body style myself, have its relative in maple (F65ce), just wish I could get one with a short-scale and a 1-11/16 nut, but they never made such a combo...

Hi Tim

Here are some comparable guitars from Reverb. Not all an exact match, but you should be able to provide your insurance company a couple for reference.

Thanks to those of you that have replied. I believe the serial # does have CUT before It( I'm at work it's at home). It looks like the one Adorshki referenced on reverb except that it does not have the Fender info on the headstock. It does have a hard shell case that has literally never been used. It was put in the case in the store, I took it home, put it in a very good gig bag. Put the case in the closet and it has never left the house. I will post some pics when I get home.

Here are pictures of the F47RCE. In the second pic. The arrow is pointing to the finish damage on the headstock. The serial number is
CUT000059.

I'm going to say it was made in 2002, but it could be a 2003. Headstock ding isn't that big of a deal. I have no idea about value. Photo #2 qualifies for the BGUF thread and now resides there. :)

That Fender decal was only used until sometime in '03, I suspect yours may have even pre-dated their use, or possibly it was removed, since the one in the ad, #157, has the decal. ;)

Thank you for your reply
Getting back to insurance valuation, I'd say $1800 easy. One detail is the Fishman Pro-Blend, it was the highest level transducer system Guild offered from around '99 to '04. "IIRC" the F47Rce was officially discontinued in Corona in early '04, revived in New Hartford ca '09-'10 in the florentine cutaway version more commonly seen offered these days. (I prefer the venetian, myself)

Rosewood was highest grade tonewood offered, so another plus. I note the saddle is compensated as well, is it original, do you know? I didn't recall 'em using compensated saddles in Corona, certainly not on my D40e. In any case, most would probably consider it an upgrade as long as the UST functions properly.

So my personal valuation based on emotional attraction to the model is around $2k. It listed for $2299.00 in the '01 price list, don't have an '02 available, but the '01 should be directly comparable in all respects to the '02 differing only in place of manufacture, (except for maybe that saddle?)

https://www.gad.net/Blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Guild-2001-01-Price-List.pdf

The model may be at or near the stage where sellers begin to ask the original list price on pieces like this. Probably went up by at least $50.00 in the '02 list, just don't have one available to verify.

One other consideration if it's "appraisable" is that the quality of Guild's top wood, the heart and soul of the instrument, was very very good.
The AA spec seen on that price list could easily be graded AAA by today's standards. True replacement value with an identically constructed and spec'd instrument today would probably be at least $3500, I think. And you can't get it from Guild. Much to my chagrin.

Thank you for your reply. I did buy this instrument new. The saddle is original. List at the time was $2400.00.
I appreciate your information. Insuring for replacement is what I want to do.
