I have the Grand Orchestra natural model above bought new in 2011/12 old stock as music business was selling off and I found this gem, however I can’t really play any good but strum and have learned a little more along the way now i’m retired !
These were very expensive new i believe over $3600 selling for around $3000, my guitar has only had bedroom use case as new but I did mark the guitar top just in one area about a quarter of an inch is all on a corner of my desk, thats it the rest is like new, to nbe honest I used my Washburn D60e as its easier for me to strum & finger play as these Guilds are quite deep, though the sond quality is really fantastic in the right hands!
when I last visited America I tried a Gibson J45 in a guitar shop and found it an easier shape for me to feel very comfortable on and now I think it feels great and I might get on better with that.

The over thing is I don’t use a plectrum just my fingers and again both Gibson & Washburn feels easier the way i play around.
So ! Wondered what value you would think was fair on the Guild if I sold it,not out to rob anyone though they are very rare in the UK but felt around $1450 was an excellent price for someone who can play really wants a top end traditional model, any thoughts appreciated ! At the end of the day its market forces but any replies appreciated !

I usually just check reverb and ebay to get an idea. I think $1450 is a bit low. It would probably fly out the door at that price. There's a nice New Hartford-built for $1650. Oddly, some older ones are priced higher - up around $1900 and $2000. I don't think there's any real reason they're higher - they can't be much better than a New Hartford model, if at all. There's even a 2001 cutaway going for $2900! Of course, these have not sold at those prices, so it's hard to say.

Best of luck if you put it up for sale!

Thank you Cougar, as Im not looking for a fortune it is a mint guitar alas one mark no other damage, I saw on for sale in UK its about $2500 new, but Guilds don’t sell well here ,its all about. Martin,Gibson or Taylor, fyi I did see in Canada they seem to have a few cheapdeals, not sure why but folk who want, one from there or usa its worth a look, I did try a D40 Richie Havens model a year after I got mine and that was really nice,I don’t have to sell fortunately so I may give it a try in the spring, when i first took an interest 30 years ago I bought a black guild F4 electro in black, that was
a slim guitar with very slim fretboard, but I gave it to my son, who, lives in NYS and he sold it for a Taylor from a pal !

All the best John
