For Sale: Guild F-312, 1965. $3,200.
OVERVIEW: Bridge replaced with modern string spacing (pairs instead of individual). Tuners replaced with Schaller mini. PLEASE NOTE: Numerous repairs, scuffs, and flaws. General structural review and repairs, including neck reset, about a year ago. This guitar has a radiused fretboard, but I do not know the radius.
ACTION: Fret 12 bass = .093”. Fret 12 treble = .081”. RELIEF fret 6 = .007”. SADDLE CLEARANCE = .145”. TOP CLEARANCE= .486”. BRIDGE HEIGHT (center)= .350”.
BACK & SIDES: Brazilian rosewood. Good structural condition with no repairs. TOP: Spruce. Random discoloration from aging. Lots of play wear. Four (4) repaired closed cracks. These repairs have been stable for the 20+ years I’ve owned the guitar. Three below the bridge (one at center seam), and one in the upper treble bout below the pick guard. Please see the pictures. BRIDGE: Ebony. Original bridge replaced with modern string spacing bridge (pairs instead of individual). BINDING: Top: Appears to be hairline separations at the waist. Back: Good condition except a small shrinkage notch at the neck heel. NECK: Volute (early) style. Good condition with some scuffs and wear. Some minor evidence of reset work. The neck width at nut = 1.900". I think the nut is a replacement. FRETBOARD: Ebony. Large radius. Frets are in fair condition; dressed OK. Some minor evidence of reset work. Wedge under extension. HEADSTOCK: very slight shrinkage at edges of veneer. No curl or delamination. Tuners replaced with Schaller mini (gold). I think the hard black case is original (Guild logo and plush blue lining).
