Picked up one of these off of Amazon and it arrived a few days ago. After a day to settle in and a truss rod adjustment what started out as underwhelming has turned into a tone machine! I really could not be happier with this hog back spruce top jumbo! It has a great dynamic range and sounds beautiful lightly picked or it can jump right out at you when you dig in. Deep piano bottom on the low E. The B and high E have good strength and sparkle. The mids have some good rich tone to them as well.
For the money I don't think it can be beat and for a jumbo lover like me it is truly satisfying to play. A big sound for sure!
I can not find any flaw in the workmanship so my hat is off to the factory!
No pictures yet but here are some stock photos for now.

Congrats, 12stringer. Sweet acquisition. Happy strumming! A couple of years ago, I insanely walked away from a shiny new F-240E that was 33% off at a closing music shop, and I have had no luck at all (so far, anyway) trying to build a time machine so I can go back and get it.
If you don't mind a question or two, how was your experience ordering a Guild from Amazon in Canada? And how was the packaging job? I ask because I moved to a province that does not have a Guild dealer and I'm trying to figure out the best way to make a couple of purchases; I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms.

Hi MacGuild
Maybe there will be some good boxing day or Christmas sales coming up!
Amazon had a Canadian music shop in Kingston Fulfill the order. Ardens Music. I was able to call them about the specific guitar they were shipping to me. I received it in 3 days! They shipped it in a Guild cardboard shipping box which made the trip unscathed. It seemed sturdy enough but a puncture could cause damage I suppose. This guitar does not come with a case, so maybe having it shipped in a case in a box would be ideal. There are a few Canadian online shops that will ship Guild as they are a registered dealer. Redone, Erie and Ardens Music are three such dealers.
Hope that helps!

Thank you!
Gee, that worked out great for you. And you're right, a case would be ideal and, coming this far, pretty much required.
And thanks for those dealer tips, very much appreciated.
If only L&M would form some sort of partnership with Cordoba/Guild, eh? Someday, someday...

L&M would do well to carry the Guild line.

After a month of this guitar adjusting to a Canadian winter, I found it was gradually getting less loud and proud so it was necessary to raise the saddle a wee bit with a hardwood shim. This worked amazingly well and the guitar is a cannon once again. When I first added the shim by super gluing it to the bottom of the bone saddle I noticed the volume was louder but a bit softer sound. So I removed the saddle and let some super glue soak into the new shim by re-applying to the exposed side of the shim and then a very light sanding. Well the sound came back big and deep! I guess the glue dried hard in the wood pores and created a more bone like material?
Anyhow, its a real pleasure to play once again :)
