Selling a beautiful 1999 (2/2/1999 date on the inside) Westerly made Guild DV-52 acoustic guitar that I picked up from another member here. The DV52 is designed to capture a "vintage sound" in a new instrument. The body is solid rosewood with a solid spruce top, and the top is scallop braced to increase the bass response. The bridge and fretboard are ebony and the top has a natural abalone rosette around the sound hole. Width at nut is 1.715”. Action is low and there’s plenty of saddle left if you prefer to lower it further. There are some tiny nicks and finish checking, but this is a great player, and sounds amazing. It has a bridge doctor installed, but has no issues and could be removed if you prefer. It also looks like it had electronics at one point that have since been removed. Comes with a great hard case. Looking for $799. I’d really prefer not to ship it if possible. I’m in the general Boston area.

This is still available. I took it off the market for a little, but it’s back!

I was moving guitars around in the yet to be finished guitar room and I opened up an unmarked case....Ahhh yes the DV-52.

It was pretty clean when I bought it and had fresh (thick) strings which I usually swap out but with the move and all......what a guitar! Played it for over 2 fingers worth of bourbon neat and left the work till tomorrow...

Wife looked at me when I got back upstairs and smiled and said...what got into you!!!

That guitar loves to be pushed!

What a great rediscovery. I try and rotate my acoustic guitars (6 total) and play a couple each week. I am a little extra excited when it is my DV52s time in the rotation. Just wonderful guitars!!

I had a new DV52 back in the day. I had some major family issues and sold it on eBay. The buyer was from Australia. I had sent guitars to Europe without any issues, so I agreed to ship. It took over a month to reach the buyer. It was held in customs, or something of that sort, for a extended period. When the buyer received it it was pretty badly damaged. It was heart breaking! I'm the end I think he got partial reimbursement. I don't know what happened to the guitar.
