Hi all.
I am selling my D70 NT from 1982.
If you have any questions regarding the condition or need any technical questions answered, just ask. I'm not a flat top player but will do my best to get any relevant technical information.
This was Guilds flagship D model from around 78 to 82 (please advise if otherwise). It was the most expensive D model Westerly had made to date. The standard flagship being a '55', this being a '70'.
There are no cracks to the woods or the usually breaks in the binding. The frets have lots of life left and there is no pitting of the fretboard.
The neck angle seems fine. The bridge has anti belly device. There are some dings to the top that were not picked up in the 'studio' pictures. I will do a 'warts and all' picture of the top when I get back into the workshop over the next few days.
I would describe the sound as rich, warm and when strummed, very loud.
Comes with original case, tag and key.
I'm asking for £1,999
I can ship to the US or elsewhere. Shipped and landed in the US would likely cost $2,800.
Video viewing available over whtasapp.
I will try to do a sound recording but I don't have the right type of mics for acoustic work and my workshop has a lot of reverb but I'm sure I can put something together.
Many Thanks.
