I have what I believe to be a 1972 Guild D-25 that I bought when I first went to college (1971-72). I don't have the serial number in front of me because I'm at work, but I'll post it later. I've been thinking about selling it because I need to have an acoustic that I can use plugged in for church. It is the mahogany color (brown) with the flat back. It is all original except for 1) I had Grover tuners installed on it when I first got it by the place I bought it from (Don Warner Music in Richmond, VA), 2) the neck was reset by an authorized Fender luthier and the job was very well done (1999) and 3) the pickguard had to be replaced because it had started to come unglued. Everything else is all original. Bridge has not been reglued. The body is in excellent condition.
If the thing is of some value, I may consider putting some type of pickup on it. Any advice on what to put in that wouldn't devalue the guitar would also be appreciated.
