Okay, while the S300A-D is still looking for a home, I'm going to put my last Guild guitar up for your consideration.

Guild CR-01 Crossroads (not to be confused with the Slash double neck guitar). According to the serial number info, it was only made in 1994, and only 97 were made (although there are claims fewer were made, I'll stick with 97). It has a tele body style. The body is a single piece of solid mahogany that is fully hollowed out, not merely "chambered." The top is maple. It has a maple neck and rosewood fretboard with dot inlays. The headstock and body are multiple bound. The real place of this guitar in the Guild roster is indicated by that bound headstock, which lacks the common Chesterfield and instead has the proud "G shield" reserved for only the better Guild models. The gloss black finish is gorgeous. It is also a bit unusual among Guild electrics in that it has a full 25 1/2" scale.

This is a real acoustic guitar as well as an electric. It sounds great, but not loud, playing in the living room when kids are asleep. Plug it in and it's versatility really shines. It has a Fishman acoustic pickup mounted under the saddle that feeds a fishman preamp mounted inside the body. Electric guitar sounds are from an active EMG 89 pickup. While some reviews of the guitar claim it's a splittable humbucker, it is actually a two complete pickups in a single package. It has a strat-style single coil EMG-SA, as well as a humbucking EMG-85. They can be switched to play individually, and the acoustic pickup can also run individually or blended with the EMG. There is a single output jack in the endpin. This gives a maximum number of different sounds out of a single beautiful guitar...if you're wanting one guitar to play both acoustic and electric parts from "Aqualung" or "Roundabout" this will do it nicely...perfect for those of you who need a variety of sounds, and would probably be ideal for a praise band if that particular sort of spirit moves you.

Condition is excellent, no issues whatsoever, and it comes with the OHSC.

I really love this guitar, and everyone I know who has played it has had nothing but good things to say. Pics should be up very soon.

I'd compare it to a Peregrine in a lot of ways, except with a different shape and the addition of the electronic pickup.

Trying to determine a price for this guitar is really difficult since comparables are almost impossible to find. I'm asking $1200. Feel free to make an offer or tell how far off I am on the price, or just ask questions or comment on the pics.

Oh yeah, many thanks to Don for letting me sell off the collection. A donation will be made to LTG. Hopefully the S300A-D will go soon. The Sprint has been sold to Hans and will be hand delivered in Arlington, and the M-65 has a nice home with Guilded. I'll also fire up the amps and get them listed soon. I like seeing these all go to true Guild afficianados!
