Hey folks, first post here.

I have a 1965 Guild CE-100D that I picked up pretty cheap a few years ago. I may need to sell it, but I'm not sure yet.

I was wondering, what are the specs of this guitar? I looked on the internet and I could find the factory spec info. Also, what's the usually price of these guitars? Mine isn't mint, it's definitely been played over the 42 years. It plays perfectly though.

There's no finish on the neck left, but it's still very smooth. Apart from the general wear and dings, the only major thing is that the headstock was snapped off and repaired. They did a good job, and you can only tell from looking at the back of the headstock. Doesn't effect the playability at all.

I would keep it as my main guitar, but I play usually louder de-tuned stuff. It sounds great at low volumes, but when it's cranked up a bit there's just too much feedback. I also need at least 22 frets!

Thanks for your help!

Welcome aboard Adam! What exactly are you looking to find out?

Typical specs would be (& yours is) maple laminate top, back & sides. Mahogany neck (3 piece?), rosewood fretboard, likely Grover StaTite tuners, what appear to be the Guild mini-humbucking pickups.

Too bad about the headstock repair. That's probably one reason you came by it so cheap, & will impact your resale. Guild values seem to be a relative thing lately. There have been some record setting prices on ebay recently for a few instruments, while others come up short (though not enough to keep the guys happy around here).

Thanks for the info! Yeah I'm kind of bummed about the headstock too, but it doesn't effect it at all. They did a good job.
