"Anyone who has ever picked up this beautiful guitar has immediately offered to buy it and has asked me to name my price"

Gosh, I'm afraid that when they sort out the liars and fools, this guy will end up in both piles. :lol:

Not to worry, I "Guild Mountied" him! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi,

Just a couple of questions and comments;

Is that a thin 2” or thick 3-1/2” body?

If it’s thin, it’s a T-50. If it’s thick it’s an X-50.

Both of these guitars were bottom of the line student grade models.

If you get $1000 for it you’ll be doing well. Somebody has been telling you stories.

It seems like a lot of folks who have been hoarding a nice guitar through the years are now trying to sell it. They are frequently delusional about the price. Lots of these showing up on craigslist and e-Bay now that tough times have come.

I contacted a guy in Cleveland who listed a CE-100. He thought he was offering a bargain at $2,500. It was worth less than half of that.

Sometimes it's a long way back to reality.

Wow!

He took it well!

Thanks Kurt...I am understanding I have been duped. Fortunately I did not pay anything for this guitar. But a $7000.00 mistake is ridiculous! Very Sorry.

I almost felt guilty so I replied;

Hey, no need to apologize, I just though you ought to know what you had. It’s still a nice little guitar!

great story man. It is amazing what folks think they have sometimes when it comes to what they believe it's worth, or could get for it. Nice job Grot!
