Guild Alcoholics

Scrolling facebook feed this morning, saw a private group "Guild Alcoholics". I had to slow down my mouse and go back to see it was the popular facebook group "Guild Acoustics". Although, some of us may have a Guild addiction.

Don't forget Step 9 where you must go and make amends to those you may have hurt in the process of buying more Guilds, but only wherever possible ---except when to do so would injure them or cause harm.

Isn't that what we have already? After all, a handle doesn't identify who you are. The analogy only breaks down if you are trying to break your Guild buying habit.

While I spend an inordinate amount of time on the internet looking and reading about Guild guitars, I only own two guitars, a Guild and a Taylor. So I don't know if I qualify as a Guildaholic and should be concerned, or not.

So far I've been happy with what I have, but I realize that can turn on a dime. I'm not saying anything that I will have to then eat my words later.

If you are thinking you have too many, maybe you have a problem. If you don't you don't. That could be thirty or three guitars. One guy goes to Vegas and looses his rent money, another looses $10,000 and it's his monthly mad money. One guy has $5,000 saved up in discretionary spending money, yet can't bring himself to spend more than $3000. Another spends the five grand and puts another two on his credit cars.

We all have to live in our comfort zone.

Me too. Except I don't often get the chance to enjoy the bourbon, Guilds, AND cigars all at the same time.
