This is a MIM Guild It's actually a pretty nice guitar and probably a third of the cost of a made in the USA model. Don't get me wrong, if I had my druthers and price were not an option I'd take the made in the USA version every time but the sound quality and the price of this guitar worked just fine for me.
I've never been a real 12 string kinda guy. I love the sound of a 12er in the right hands but those hands are surely not mine. I also consider them to be a bit of a PITA with maintenance, string changes, tuning etc. I find myself with 3 of them right now so this one and a 1983 D 212 will be offered for sale here and if need be, on Reverb. I'll be keeping the import D 1212 which is actually a nice guitar. A nice Oxnard M 20 will soon be made available as well.
So, this guitar is in very nice shape. The Maple arched back and sides are quite attractive and it sounds really good to my ear and plays really easily.
Here is some further info for you:
-The prior owner had the bridge reglued because it was lifting a bit. You can see some of the glue residue but it's not bad at all and certainly not horrible.
-Nut width looks to be 1 13/16"
-RW bridge and RW fingerboard with dot inlays
-6 per side chrome tuning machines that work as intended
-Spruce top, Maple sides and arched Maple back
-Mahogany neck
-Bone nut (replaced plastic by the prior owner) and bone compensated saddle
-Low E string height at the 12th fret is about 5/64" with plenty of saddle room remaining
-Ships in a non original HSC
-The last owner did not care for ther installed Fishman electronics so he took them out and installed a LR Baggs LB 12 saddle pickup. He also installed an older LR baggs EQ pedal with built in preamp into the side of the guitar. Takes two 9V batteries.
I'm starting to get quite a few guitars listed on LTG including the D 35, the GF 25 and the D 30. After this listing I'll likely slow down here on the LTG site and if they don't sell soon I'll get them onto Reverb and move them that way. And then, I'll continue my journey of thinning the herd.
Here's a few pics.
