A follow up from his designs for Tacoma.
There is a nice video about it:

I'd say you are correct! At about 3:13 into that video, Tommy Emmanuel is playing what I swear is Doyle Dyke's, New Hartford. Check it out and tell me if I'm hearing things.
I guess that happened to all of us before!Even more embarrassing, I posted in that thread
I’d say find a Tacoma Chief or Road King for 1/3 the price of these.Any opinions on George Gruhn's Versitar? It seems like a neat design ( I know it's based on a Tacoma model). I usually hate cutaways, but it would be nice to have one with upper fret access. I think moving the sound hole is a smart choice because it allows for less bracing. As best I can tell from youtube clips, they sound very sweet and have good sustain. I'm just not sure I want to pay $2600-3000 for a new design that I've never had in my hands, but I'm tempted!
I haven’t been real impressed from what I’ve seen of the Gruhns online but I’m sure it’s different in person. One improvement from the Tacomas is the access door at the tail block so you can actually get inside to work on it.I wonder how the Tacoma and the Versitar compare. I watched a youtube comparison, but I never hear much difference from a youtube clip, through my computer.
