I ordered a dozen sets of PB medium gauge acoustic guitar strings from Euphonon Company Strings last week and recieved them in the mail today.
I just put a set on my L-20-A Yamaha Custom Acoustic Guitar and I honestly can't tell the difference between them and the D'Addario strings that I have been using for the past 20 years.
I played Euphonon strings back in the 80's but when I started getting a killer price locally for the D'Addario's, I switched.
I have not been happy with the quality of the strings that I have purchased lately, so I decided to try the Euphonon's again.
I was getting the EXP D'Addario strings for $5.50 a set locally, but they wern't lasting any longer than regular PH strings.
I don't know if I was actually getting EXP's, because I was buying them in bulk, without any wrapper or box to show what they were.
I found an old shipping package from Euphonon in my closet, and the strings back in the earily 80's were only $29.00 for 12 sets, delievered to my home.
When I looked them up online last week, the price was still the same $29.00 per 12 sets!
No increase in price in over 25 years!
Well if any of you go through strings like I do, you will want to consider Euphonon Strings.
You can even order custom sets built to your own specifications at no extra cost.
At the price of $2.42 per set, how can you not try them!
They are even less for the 80/20 bronze strings!

These are great strings and everyone should know about them.
Who knows, if more people start to buy Euphonon strings, the other string companies may come down in price.
Go for it!

From Euphonon direct.
" Euphonon Co. supplies first quality strings from major American manufacturers. They are the same strings you buy in the music stores."

Hey TMG
I've been buying from Euphonon for the last year or so and, yeah, can't see a significant difference between their bulk and the brand name packaged strings, except for the price, of course. I have particularly corrosive sweat, it seems, and so changing strings weekly, even more frequently in summer, becomes a bit of an economic issue.
Good value!

You can google a place with information about them.
They don't have their own web site.
This is an old school small company.
They still do it the old way.
You can call them, or just mail them the order.

Let me know where you by your D'addario's Exp's locally? $5.50 is a great price for EXP..maybe you were just getting the D'addario EJ's in PB?..$5.50 seems right for the regular EJ's.

We have a guitar shop in Salt Lake City that sells them.
The owner has the strings in bulk and sells them as sets to musicians.
He also has regular D'Addario sets that I can get for $3.50 a set.
This is why I question if I am getting EXP's. He could be using the wrong loose strings for the EXP sets.
It shouldn't happen, but several of the sets just don't last as long as others.
At $2.42 a set, I will change strings a little sooner if needed.
This price includes shipping.
They also have 12 string sets, but I don't use enough of them to even order 6 sets.
$27.50 plus $5.00 shipping for a half dozen 12 string sets, or $49.75 for a dozen.
