This guy is an architect! Neighbors always say the same thing. "I'm shocked. He was quiet and never bothered anybody".

I read a story where some neighbors called him a neighborhood creep.

We had one here, Robert Lee Yates, Ex Air Force, married and all, posh neigborhood, and when they caught him, he gave up some
"closure" bodies in exchange for a plea, all too common, and they were buried right under his flower beds in the front of the house.

How the H do you pull something like that off, everyone busy watching movies, never looking out their windows? And the wife never noticed?

And a big yea for cadaver dogs, either we didn't have the budget, or they weren't any good, or they didn't even bother him being such a nice guy.

And he almost did a couple gals who got away but turned him in for being in a white Corvette, a book was written about this, the stellar police work, but they were just "working girls" no one misses much.

So it went down in the report as a white Camaro, which there must have been hundreds here if not thousands, where just a few white Corvettes and they could have had their man, but it went on for a few more years to the point we had billboards of gals faces that were missing, including a Melody M, who actually propositioned me at a light one summer.

I stopped at a light dowtown, going to Motion Auto Parts, had the windows rolled down, she - cute brunette - was sitting at a bus stop and says "Hey, do you want to have a good time?" and I says "With my luck, you'd be a cop" as they had lots of sting ops for johns at this time, and so she lifts her top way up, no bra, and says "Would a cop do that?" and the light turned green and I went on down the road to the parts store like I was going.

And then later I saw her face, on a billboard, sad.

And this is all the the world was much saner than it is now.

I peripherally know the guy that is his next door neighbor, and can't stand him. And how does a successful architect live in a hovel like that?

Perhaps worse still is that he's probably not the only killer. Many here (including me) think that disgraced Suffolk County police chief James Burke, who did jail time for other charges, is one of them. One of the reasons the case wasn't investigated to its fullest extent was collusion between Burke and District Attorney Thomas Spota, who's also did jail time. It wasn't until there was a regime change here that the case got the attention it warranted. The whole thing reeks to high heaven, but I'm glad they finally got this creep.

I figured a few of you live on Long Island, those towns are so close together.
