Getting my Windex & 409 Cleaner out for my new guitar find!

Came across this in a local thrift store. Early 60's Danelectro Short Horn Convertible. Going to need some help cleaning up the Formica top, back and the plastic sides.

I was just given a Fender P bass that was sitting in someone's basement for years. The stink of mildew was so bad that it made my eyes burn. I used a ton of windex on that puppy!
I never have that kind of luck in thrift stores - nice score!

I guess you are right! It's going to cost me money though. The height adjustment screws are rusted to the saddles and the pickup is questionable.

I'm kinda confused though. is the 409 because its dirty or because its covered in Formica (is it?)

Also, was I the only one expecting a plexiglas guild from an 80s mag spread?

The 409 is to try to clean up the plastic finished sides. It's kind of a rough vinyl texture. I think outside of the fret board and bridge most of this guitar is several degrees of seperation from real wood.
