I'm selling this GAD30, purchased in April 2014 from LTG member killdeer43 (Joe). I bought it as an experiment, to see how I liked a 1.75-inch wide nut on a six-string guitar. I liked it enough that I've since purchased a nice rosewood Taylor with similar nut width, & it is getting more playing time than this pretty GAD30.
A nice example of the GAD instruments, & Joe gave it a cosmetic facelift by installing a "real" Guild pickguard. I believe that Joe also moved the strap button from the side of the upper bout, to his preferred location on the heel. You can see a filled hole from the former strap-button location in one or two of my photos.
There are two minor dings. One on the back of the headstock, & a very small one on the soundboard (circled in light blue on a close-up photo). There are also two scratches on front of the headstock, adjacent to the A-string tuner. Minor wear on the first three frets, most visible under the B string.
Twelfth-fret action is currently 7/64-inch on the bass side, & 6/64-inch on the treble side. The saddle has considerable height visible above the bridge, so there is plenty of room to lower the action if the next owner wishes to do so. Very pretty wood binding & a wood heel cap, too.
Currently strung with a recent D'Addario EXP16 set (light-gauge coated phosphor bronze). A surprisingly loud guitar (for its size), with a pleasant tone for such an economical & compact guitar. I find the string spacing easy for fingerpicking.
Price lowered 8/24/15 to $300 plus shipping, in the lower 48. Three-day trial period . . . return it if not satisfied, & you're only out the two-way shipping expense.
