Hi all, newbie alert. . .

Question is, does anyone have one of these in natural finish?

I am delighted with it and note the different 'natural' colour compared to my Martin - also in natural.

I am not naive and know (and can clearly see) the difference in wood quality, but both being spruce.

However, the colour of the 'natural' is distinctly different - the GAD looking almost bleached in comparison.

Should I expect the GAD to darken off to a more natural 'natural'? I've only had the guitar (bought new) for 3 months or so, but it looks like it was made last year.

It plays beautifully, is nicely built and the setup was perfect out of the box. I am a well-chuffed bunny.

Hi Brian,

Welcome over here in LTG!

I don't know how much darkening will occur with the UV-cured polyurethane finish that's used on the GADs... I don't know if anyone's had these finishes long enough to know what the coloring will do. I think the answer is that it will darken/fade some over time, but probably not a whole lot.
