I just acquired a nice used GAD 40c. The neck is very easy to work and it's a very resonant instrument. In fact, it's too resonant. I put my favorite DR Sunbeam 12's on it, and once I'm about half-way down the neck any press or release of a string causes a faint hammer-on/pull-off. I don't need to apply any real pressure for this. The tired old strings on the guitar didn't do this, so I'm thinking that the Sunbeams may be too bright for the instrument. I swapped out the bone saddle (which had a very sharp leading edge) for a Tusq saddle I had laying around- No Change.
