Hi All-I bought a GAD-25 last month, my first Guild, and I must say I'm in love... :D

It's been fun reading through posts here, and learning a lot.

I've read lots of great things about the GAD guitars and the GAD-25 in particular, and I've read of some dislike for the GAD line in general. It seems that some of this is Fender/China related.

So, a question--If I played a GAD-25 side-by-side with it's older brother the D-25 what would I notice?

You'd want them both.  Steffan
Steffan is wise beyond his years. Of course, "wanting them both" is a sure sign that you're afflicted with GAS. And there's no known cure!

Best of luck and know that you're among friends,
Joe

Hey amni, welcome to LTG and congrats on your GAD-25.

Side by side the D-25 may sound fuller and have more mojo because it would be an older model, have opened up and want to get rolling.

The GAD may take a bit to develop it's own roar, but if you love it now, you'll love it more in the years to come. Something about that Guild sound!!

Guilty as charged on the development of GAS.

I've noticed myself wondering where I could squirrel away $$ for some more, not to mention the wild justification of spending way more than I have!
