Yep, that's about as good a price on a G37 as you'll find. Killer guitar for $500. Even better if it's in nice shape & doesn't need work. I paid the same for mine & put another $125 into a set up & tweak.

Took mine to today's lesson. Smitty's been trying to sell me a Taylor LTD for two years & handed his Cocobolo LTD to me for about 10 minutes this morning while he played my G37. I was lost in the Taylor when Smitty shouts out, "Hey man, this is a darn nice guitar !!" (meaning my G37). He was smiling like a jackass eating briars. I have it on tape. :D :D

Freaking Taylor was nice too, should be for the $5800 list price.

$500 is a nice price for a G-37. I picked up my '74 on eBay for $550 three years ago, and I thought that was a fine deal (its only real issue was bunged up finish on the headstock from rxn with a hanger). What year did you get? Early models (til mid-70s sometime) had mahogany necks with plain silk-screened Guild on the headstock. Later sported a tad more bling... w a pearloid Chesterfield headstock and matching maple neck.

Enjoy!

It seems to be a 76. It has some checking and a bit of wear and the hole from the fishman but other then that i am stoked. She came in a gig bag so thats a bit of a drag. I need to post some pics.

The sound is so unreal. My brother lost his job so i had him move in. I was rippin through it this morning while he was still in bed when he came out he was like what the F are you playing it sounds unreal. He hasnt seen it yet and he didnt know i had gotten a new guitar. So i passed the brother test.

I think i do need to get it set up a bit so that will cost me a few $$$ but overall i am pleased.

Guilds just kick arse for the money! Thanks for your replys!
