***SOLD!!*** THANKS EVERYONE!!!

Up for sale is an absolutely gorgeous Guild Bluesbird (Fender-era) with factory routed P90s and a stunning quilt top. I have been chasing Bluesbirds for many years and have never seen one quite like this one (more common are the BLUES 90s, which have P90s and are a lesser guitar IMHO). The quilted, 3D top is beautiful in person, and there is no pickguard on the guitar, nor should you want to hide any of this top! Bone stock and in incredible condition, including the OSHC. It's in almost perfection condition, there are a few superficial pick marks and some fingerprints that will easily wipe clean.

As you know, the Bluesbirds are CHAMBERED, meaning ultra-light, and for you LP shape fans that can't handle the weight of an LP, this is your dream guitar. This guitar was made for P90 tone, it just has a ton of beautiful sounds ready to jump out. Neck shape is a rounded-59 type, not a thick as a '58 but with plenty of meat without being uncomfortable.

I am pricing this guitar at a very fair $1100, which INCLUDES shipping and insurance in the CONUS. I prefer a money order but will accept Paypal with split fees. I know I am new here, but I have tons of online refs on TGP and 1500+ on eBay and will gladly provide my cell phone number to the buyer so we can keep in touch. Keeping with this site's policy, I will make a donation to the site should a member of this forum purchase the guitar.

You won't regret this purchase, but you will regret passing it up because another one like it won't be coming along soon! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested. PLEASE NO TRADE OFFERS, I'm looking to pare down.

So what is the difference really? Neck binding and block inlays?

Awesome guitar Dan. \m/-_-\m/

Yup. And Westerly / Corona.

That is one of the best tops I have seen on a P90 Bluesbird. Awesome quilt.

Also the general consensus is that Blues 90 necks are chunkier than most if not all Bluesbirds. I happen to "dig" chunky but most seem to prefer otherwise.

Oh yes. Hey, let's see a picture of the back of yours! How's the mahogany (assuming mahogany) look on the back?

Yes, but after talking to the new buyer twice today, I'm convinced she's going to a great home where's she'll be loved better than I could. I cheated on her too much with my other guitars :D. She deserves better!

He's sending me the serial# so I can verify the year with Hans.

Hello Treem,

Congratulations! So far I've not come much further with regard to the serial number but when I look at the small details of the guitar I'm about 99% sure that it was built in 2003.
Maybe in time you can e-mail me a close up of the serial number and I might be able to tell you the date with more certainty.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust
