Here we have a beautiful Oscar Schmidt Stella from the 1920s. It's in great condition for it's age and has a killer, bluesy tone. The guitar is all original and comes with the original and a new end pin. There is one tuner slightly bend which doesn't affect the guitar in any way. There is checking all over the guitar, which is obvious for a guitar this age. There are no cracks or other major issues. Action is great, the guitar doesn't need any work and is ready to be played by his new owner.
Nut width around 1 7/8”
Lower bout around 13 1/2”
Scale length 25”
12th fret height 1/8”
There is a massive list of old great blues guitarists as Mississippi John Hurt, Skip James, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Leadbelly, Furry Lewis and many, many more that used to play on this brand of guitar. These Stella's were made in New Jersey by the Oscar Schmidt Company and should not be confused with the Stella's made by Harmony.
