I am selling my 2013 12 fret Orpheum to purchase another guitar. I will be keeping the 14 fret Orpheum because I got it from a close friend. The 12 fret is right there with the 14 fret in sound, playability, and condition. It is in excellent condition and in its original case. If you would like pictures other than what is posted, I will send the best my Motorola RAZR 4 and I can.
If you are serious about getting an Orpheum, you know the history. IMG_20230711_155207070.jpgIMG_20230711_155224635.jpgIMG_20230711_155231201.jpgIMG_20230711_155751564.jpgIMG_20230711_155859599.jpgIMG_20230711_155913883.jpgIMG_20230711_160713528.jpgIMG_20230711_160733178.jpg

Yes (as stated on the archived Guild webpage), but it could be khaya or another African "mahogany".

All hog Orpheums were built using Honduran Mahogany as far as I know. As also confirmed by Ren himself in that video from NAMM 2014. The 12 fret slope shoulder model is the 3rd shown in that video.

Yes, I'm pretty certain of that myself. No African mahogany.

Beautiful.................................just my luck that it comes up today(poor me). I bought a 1996 DV52 yesterday and it's enroute from Georgia; being delivered tomorrow.
I have been following 2 Orpheum Slope Shoulders considering purchasing one before I got this great deal on the DV52.
Someone is going to be very fortunate!

Nice price on a great guitar. One friend, who's been playing for 40 years or so, says mine is the best sounding guitar he's ever played. The only thing that would make mine better would be a sunburst like this one!

I agree with your friend as the Orpheum is the best Mahogany I have ever strummed.

I have the 14-fret version. Let me put it this way… I had just purchased a Santa Cruz 0000 Hog before the Orph SS came up. I sold the Santa Cruz because the Orph was equal in build quality, very similar sounding, the neck was more comfortable, and it was significantly less expensive.

I remember your love for the 14 fret Orpheum and believe the 14 fret Orpheum rosewood is in your list. Fine guitars but if you run across the Guild Finesse snatch it like a Falcon on a 🐰.
