Hi LTG'ers:

I recently purchased this wonderful DV72 in this very forum, but find that it's just not going to quiet the voices in my head that are demanding a shade top D55.

So, here it is again, with many pictured borrowed with permission from the previous listing.

Note the minor repair to binding on bottom bout.

Price is $1,900 including ground shipping and paypal fees.

Man, I've owned a couple of D55's and I'd take the DV72 in a heartbeat. D55's are fantastic guitars.....but...........gosh I love my DV72/73/52.

I hear ya! I played Aristera's / James' DV72 at LMGIV and yes, loved it!

You'd probably like my JV72 -- the jumbo version! Kind of an amazing back story on how I acquired it, which I've been meaning to share. If the weather is nice tomorrow, I'll take some pictures and do that!

I just got another email from Carl at Union Music this morning. Guild is selling off a bunch of "true" B stock guitars this time round. All have some kind of flaw, and come with no warranty. The better news is that they are 65% off MSRP, and there are a few D55 in ATB on the list, both with an without DTAR

Don't know if any of these interest you, but if they do, give Carl a holler.

I've got the JV52, as a companion to my DV52. Different beasts, love them both!

Correct, the table showed MSRP and it's 65% off, because they have no warranty.

That's correct Jim, all prices listed are MSRP. I've also found that the flaws are not nearly as bad as described, too. I've got the complete list if you want to pm me your email address.

Thanks for passing along the information - appreciate it.

I had a Westerly D55 burst in-hand, but gave it back to guitar center as I thought it was going to need a re-fret along with a set up. I am kicking myself for being a bit too picky, but ah well.

That DV72 is worth every penny Harry is asking and then some. You just don't find these priced under $2K. The guitar was purchased by the original owner from Guitar House of Tulsa. The original owner didn't play the guitar much. I was the second owner and only played the guitar at home so other than the minor binding issue, which isn't that bad, the guitar is in fantastic shape. The frets show virtually no wear. The guitar has outstanding tone and sustain. He's not making a buck flipping the guitar,,, he's just got a D55 itch that he's going to have to scratch.

I want Jeff to buy it. Problem is, though he's a moderator here, I don't think he gets on much these days. I'd called him when you were selling it George. Jeff had been wanting a nice DV72 for many years, and I told him long ago I'd help him find one. If the seller could get ahold of Jeff, he might very well be interested. I'll call him again this evening and see if I can get him, and tell him she's up for sale again. Meanwhile, since I'm at work, George I think I gave you his number. One of you guys see if you can call or email him and see if he's interested. I don't have his phone number or regular email address here with me.

West & Geo many thanks for your help - I appreciate it.

I just gave the guitar a polish and treated the fretboard and bridge. Put on some new Mangan 12-54 Phosphor Bronze strings and she really sings now!
