Re: For you Frosty. this guy is unreal.lead/rhythm/bass, at once

That man is not human - he's an alien from some kind of parallel universe, with four extra (invisible) hands playing two extra (invisible) guitars.

Just unbelievable. I can only wish I was anywhere near that good.

Thanks for the links - I really enjoyed them.

Jeff, you are quite right....and the DeArmond used in the 1st couple of vids, was unplugged, according to one of the feedback letters.just recorded with a microphone...I don't think that is true, but it doesn't matter. He seems to do more with less. He doesn't use much besides a guitar and an amp, and he only seems to have 3 guitars, and one of them is a DeArmond X-155 :!: He has quite the bio, and I'm still in shock....There are some amazing players out there but this guy is a league, all by him self...just incredible  Steffan

Wow...I'm not sure if I should go practice more, or just give up playing altogether...

Great stuff!

I guess that conceptually this kind of playing is not foreign to musicians. Keyboard players pull this off intellectually. As far as the guitar is concerned, Stanley Jordan and lots of contemporaries who play in the "tapboard" style can also do this.

What's interesting is that he's pulling it off using a somewhat "traditional" approach, except for that crazy right hand doing three jobs. That's the mind-blowing part! Really impressive! Thanks for the links Steffan.

Guy seems pretty humble...played with some great artists, player of the year, 2 years in a row. Plays a DeArmond X-155. Mostly stays away from petals, and encourages us to play what you see is what you get...and also plays several other instruments, and had conducted symphony orchestras....damn glad he didn't go into baseball.... but how many people here ever heard of him? I sold my DeArmond and was doing a search to send a link to the guy who bought it. I did, but told him to just watch this guy.....and keep on playing anyway....Thats how I discovered him....not a clue, and aside from Lenny Breau. this guy does stuff I've never heard any one do. Steffan
