I've discovered a problem on my GAD-25 on the 1st string in the 13th and 14th fret........I get exactly the same note on either fret.

Dunno if it is a fret problem but suspect so.....new fret time?????

P.S. I HAD made a VERY slight adjustment to the truss rod (very minor left turn) because I was getting some buzz on the 12th fret on the 1st string from the Elixirs. Changed over to D'Addario EJ16's after the truss rod adjustment, and that's when I noticed this problem.

Probably a high fret... but I guess it is also pretty common to find a little hump where the fretboard meets the body.

You can use a (short) straight edge (a credit card works) to help find the culprit (but your fretting probablt identified it already). Use a straightedge that spans just three frets.... Lay the edge on the frets, and see if the card rocks. If it does, the fret in the center is high. Work your way down the fretboard.

Anyway, it is likely that all you will need to do is have that fret dressed to bring it down a little.

I laid a straight edge across 12 - 14 and they seem equal in height. (To "my" eye, anyway).

Just to clarify a bit.....the note on the 12th fret is the correct one, but the note on the 13th is a whole step. It goes from E to F# and does not play an "F" note on the 13th fret, as it should.

This does not happen on any other strings on this instrument.
I just changed the strings today (not that it matters, but ......), and that's when I noticed it.

Also worthy of note: I returned the truss rod to its original position and the condition persists.

I'm not sure where you our in the Land of Steady Habits, but I'd bring that guitar of yours down to Paul Neri in Clinton (call first) and I guarantee you'll be pleased with the results.
