Hi All,
I finally took delivery of my 1960 x-350 and have been able to put it through its paces. It totally rocks and is an amazing guitar. The pickups will need wax potting as they howl at high volumes (vox ac30 on 4, deluxe reverb on 4-5) though one could deffinately gig with the guitar as is. The middle and neck pickups had a capacitor in line which made them very muddy in certain settings and on their own- so I removed it. Can anyone advise me how to obtain more treble out of the neck and middle pickups as they still sound a bit muddy compared to the bridge; which has twang o plenty? It still sounds as if there maybe another cap in line though I cannot see one. Will raising or lowering these pickups help?
Thanks,
Guitarman.

pull the switch out and check for caps on it as well. also look at the pickups the might have caps at the connectors.
