Was reading the Union Leader (Concord NH) and as I do once a week, I look at the events calendar. Boy was I surprised when I saw listed the Frank Vignola Trio. I knew I was going it was about 1 1/2 from me this past Friday nite. Actually it was out in the middle of nowhere and I do mean nowhere. The location was at a country inn, which was actually quite impressive. They had a beautifully fixed up barn (complete with bar) fixed up for entertainment. I was about 15 minutes early and there was about 10 cars in the parking lot and 2 were from NY, I'm assuming Frank's. I thought to myself this is not going to be good, if no one shows. I walk in, bought tickets, there was about 18 people there.
Well come show time there was over 100, which for a professional guitar player that is very good. Frank and the boys put on a heck of a show. He is a polished musician as are his sideman. Frank is lightening fast up and down the fretboard. Frank had better be looking over his shoulder as his other guitar player Vinny Riniolo is as good as Frank. He is only 26.
Anyways here's a few shots.
