Oh, Barb - those pants make the picture! That's exactly what I admired most in 74.... but I was playing a Martin D-35 then, though all my friends had Guilds and Gibsons. I, too, had similar pants. I used to embroider them myself, a little pentagram on the right leg (one point up!)

Great shot!

Hey Clark,

I embroidered the denim workshirts I wore with my usual uniform of Wranglers. I thought my most elaborate embroidered workshirt would've been dressy enough for the old ladies... hah! However, notice the Clark Treks shoes. I wore those to death, along with my Wallabees. I still have my floor length lavender peasant skirt and peasant blouse with embroidered mirrors on it from India, tucked away in a closet. Saved them in case I had a daughter. Hey, now they're relics!

Those were the days. Sorta.

Folks, I have to admit, along about that time I had a pair of pants where each THREAD was a different color  ....thankfully no photos of that are floating around (I think???)

I wasn't playing guitar back in 1974, being a late starter :( Earliest picture I have was when the Epiphone was new - around 1980....

Boy, do I wish I had a picture of my leisure suit, qiana shirt, and 4" pewter medallion that I was wearing around that time. At one party I was dancing with a girl I liked and the medallion kept slamming me in the head. I am sure she thought I was quite the dork... oh, wait, I'm sure I was! :D

And, Barbara, I'm afraid we were all a little cuckoo back fashion-wise in those days. Not sure I ever had curtain-like pants, but I sure do remember lots of equally fun stuff.

Seeing that photo of Jerry with his Epiphone by a tent reminds me of all the ridiculous places I took that F-312. I practically lived *on* the beach with it in the summer, down the shore in Ventnor NJ. [N.B. Default: I wasn't yuppie. Our house was the outhouse on the block of mansions. :!: ] I sat on the boardwalk and actually on the beach with my Guild, day and night, during humid, hot days. Had to shake the sand out of the soundhole more than once. Took it to a friend's house for the weekend - she lived in a trailer in the woods near State College, PA. Played it outdoors for the entire 3 days, surrounded by nasty outdoors things like bugs and midges... ewww! Today I would blanch at the thought of taking my Guild to the beach.

Great photo, Barbara! Posting a photo of yourself from the 1970s... I was going to comment on your bravery but I think I will just stand in admiration of your self-consciousness-less-ness.

That's a word, right?
