For Sale - Mid '90's X-170 Blonde w/original Hardshell Case
Price: $1950 (I'll pay the shipping)

I recently purchased this very nice Guild USA X170. After playing if for awhile, I realize an X150 (or similar) would work better for me. The X170 sound post does what it's designed to do (control feedback) but I play at very low volumes and I think a model without the sound post like an X150 would better fit my needs.

Year ? I don't know the exact year but I read GAD's pickup identification article and according to that, this guitar has Seymour Duncan pickups which dates it '94/'96 range.
Previous owner had the guitar re-fretted with Jester .090" x .055" Evo Gold frets (www.jescarguitar.com) and a bone nut installed by a very skilled luthier. The neck is very straight and the guitar plays incredibly well. Nice flame on the neck!

The guitar is 25 +/- years old so there are some dents and swirls in the finish that one would expect.
I do have the pick guard and can put back on if you prefer.
There are X170's currently on Reverb between $2,000 and $2,999 with most around $2499 so I set my price on the low end. After a few weeks, I'll post on Reverb at a higher price to cover reverb fees.

I have a very positive rating and history on Reverb and know how to properly pack guitar for shipment.
If interested, private message me with your phone number so we can talk in real time.

Any questions - let me know.

In my avatar pic is the one I have, and they are excellent instruments, very versatile and comfortable to play.

Does anyone know if the gold-tone frets were original and how long were spec'd that way? My Mars 170-T has gold hardware and Guildsby but it has nickel frets you typically see on most electrics. If original, did other models come with gold frets? Very striking in any case.
