First time guild bass owner

Hey guys, i wanted to make a post and share a few pics of my first guild bass. It's a 1985 Guild Pilot 5 string SB605 in sunburst. I am a long time guild acoustic collector, but hope to buy some guild electric guitars, and more basses in the future.

Nice one. For a first bass guitar, what made you decide on a 5-string rather than a 4-string?

I used to have an American made Fender Jazz Master 5 String that i played in my church and youth group for years. I love having the low B so I can get those note dynamics in drop D songs, Alt. tunings, etc.

Does anyone know what these two holes would of been for. A strap mount or something? They look to have been filled in and someone did a good job blending in the finish and clear coat.

The hole closest to the tip of the horn is the factory location of the strap peg. Looks like somebody was trying to change the balance and moved it down. Then they moved it to the edge of the horn. Guild moved it there later on.

Notice in the photo below you see no strap peg:
