First impression of A-50 flat top

After picking up an A-25 last year, I have kept my eye open for an A-50 to go with it. After Don let me know he was out of the hunt on this recent ebay item, I was able to wrestle it to the ground (so to speak)
It arrived yesterday and after restringing and polishing up, it exceeds my expectation.
Here are some pics along with some others for comparison.

And to put it in perspective, here they both are next to a Brand "X" om-18

First impression and I know this may sound strange, is it has some of the lower end of the DV52. Put some DA custom lights on and it has some very nice finger style picking tone. I'll get into in more over the weekend, but all in all it sounds like a Guild, which means great!

NICE!

I bought my A-50 on December 13, 1995. It's a sunburst, and the serial number indicates that it's #3. I'll have to get some digital pictures of it, but here it is with the rest of the Guild family...
