Jan and I had our first house visit since this shitshow began. What was suppose to be a 2 hour drink and appetizer visit turned into to an 8 hour trip down musical memory lane. We started with some Andrea Bocelli and then I took over the dj job and visited the Hits and obscure music we all loved from the 60s through 70s. The set included the Beatles, Tammy Wynette, stones, Barry White, Prine, the Village People, Righteous Bro’s, Kool and the Gang, Frampton, Gladys and the Pips, Stories (Louie Louie Louie Loooooeee), Cash, Dylan, Bee Gees, Pavarotti, Creedence, Doors, Airplane, RHCP, Me and Mrs. Jones, many deep cuts and obscure hits. Rock, pop, Disco, country, opera, and everything in between. We ended with Linda McCartney’s isolated track singing background vocals on Hey Jude. It was a good distraction, reminding us how old we’ve become and how our world has changed. It lit a fire in us to plan our next trip to Italy.

That sounds like a really great day Antney. very eclectic array of music there. I’m the same way - if it’s done well I generally like it - except for death metal and most rap. I’m getting together with an old college era band mate next week. I expect it will also be a booze and music filled stumble down memory lane.

I'm curious what led to this event? You've been taking this pretty seriously.

Wow, that's an eclectic set list!

I loved "Me And Mrs. Jones" back in the day, 1972 I believe it was.

My wife is very high risk. My mother passed away from the virus in April. My son in law lost his grandmother to the virus in May. My friend lost his mother to the virus in late May.

Wow, you've been really hammered. You have my sincerest sympathies. What I was asking was, what makes you more comfortable now than before about getting together to play? Everyone has their own feelings about this. No judgements intended.
