Over the last year I've done a lot of home recording but haven't done any for several months. When I gave it another shot last week I found that my M-Audio unit was acting up and my new B-Band A2.2, while it sounds great through the amp, doesn't record too well - or at least I couldn't get it to sound very decent.
So, wanting to do something, I thought I'd give video recording a shot. I did it on the cheap with the wife's Casio Exilim, put a title on it with Windows Movie Maker, converted it to an mpg and uploaded it to the web.
After seeing what came out, I have a greater appreciation of what it takes to actually make something that's presentable! I can tell I need to learn some stagecraft, like looking at the audience rather than my hands, get better lighting, and more attractive surroundings! Of course, better sound quality and, well, just singing and playing better wouldn't hurt any either! But it was fun and I learned something new.
So here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSNfibCFDcE. Have at it. I'm a big boy. I can take it ...
