What was Guild using to gloss finish their guitars in the late '80s (specifically in '87)? Was it polyurethane? I have a couple small dings I'd like to drop fill and want to know whether to use CA or Nitro. Thanks, and glad I'm finally here! :)

Lacquer was the finish material. Poly is a relatively new finish, clean -air standards and suchlike...

Hello MarkRobertD225,

If you're talking about your D-25-12 then the answer is Nitro Celllulose Lacquer.

Hello Default,

Guild was definitely using poly in 1987, but not on a D-25-12.

Sincerely,
