Finish on a late 80's Westerly???

What was Guild using to gloss finish their guitars in the late '80s (specifically in '87)? Was it polyurethane? I have a couple small dings I'd like to drop fill and want to know whether to use CA or Nitro. Thanks, and glad I'm finally here!

Lacquer was the finish material. Poly is a relatively new finish, clean -air standards and suchlike...

If you're talking about your D-25-12 then the answer is Nitro Celllulose Lacquer.

Guild was definitely using poly in 1987, but not on a D-25-12.
