You definitely came to the right place. . . . Course the downside is now I have TWO Guilds, and want more. This place is a GAS pit! So tie yourself to the mast
Welcome aboard, sugarbear.

But really, mad dog, there's no encouragement here for folks like sugarbear to spend all their hard-earned cash on Guilds, none at all. None of us has more guitars than we absolutely need, just the minimum to get by, and we continuously discourage each other from buying more.

Unless, of course, someone happens to spot a guitar for sale that someone else might possibly like, or one that needs a good home, or needs a slightly different tone, or . . .

I'm stoked! I finally found the haven of Guild lovers! I grew up learning on an old Guild D25 and have been in love with Guild's ever since. I play a ton of electric now and bought a Blues 90 twice, but just cannot get over the huge neck. It wasn't for me...however, I have been wanting an old M75 so bad now!!

Im just glad I finally have a place to talk shop about these gems. I'm 23, and a lot of folks my age have no idea about Guild's, and I love it! Cheers!
Welcome. I hope you can deal with the fact that some of our guitars are older than you ;-)

I wish I knew about Guilds when I was 23. Would've saved me some $$$$, seeing as how that was nearly 13 years ago. Not quite geezer status by the criteria around here.

Welcome. And thanks for posting in the Solid/Chambered section. We need more troops!

I was 23 when I got my first Guild (3 years ago). It didn't save me any money...

I'll second the need for more Solids around here. Welcome, welcome.

Hehe...of course I meant it would have saved me some $$$ per Guild, not overall $$$.

Welcome Sugabear...would that name be a play on Jerry Garcia's alter egos by chance? And even if it isn't, you might be interested in the little-remembered piece of trivia that HE favored Starfires back in the day...as for the Freak Brothers, I'm surprised no one's mentioned their sage advice which I will again paraphrase here: "Guilds will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no Guilds". Or girlfriends, or food, or happiness, or miscellaneous other non-essentials of life....
