I like trying different picks, but no matter what picks I try, if I grab a classic Fender medium celluloid I always like it! I used them for years as a youngster - not many choices then!

Anyway, a strange question - the Fender celluloid mediums also come in the "MOTO" style - like "mother of pearl". I have some of these, they are just like classic Fender mediums, but "fancier".

So WTH does "MOTO" stand for?

Thanks, Hans! Figures, I like picks with a name like that!

Great link, BTW! A toilet seat salesman - gotta love the '50's!

I mostly finger pick acoustics. But when I do reach for a pick it has to be nylon. And I'll drop that. I keep a pick holder on my mic stand. Will load it before a gig with 10 -15 picks. By the end of the gig it is always empty, and picks are scattered everywhere. Celluloid will explode in my fingers befor the finish of a 2 minute song.

Fender says "MOTO" for their celluloid picks. Trying to be different, I guess...
