Does anyone here own a newer Blues Jr? What is your opinion of it? I had a first year that I bought new. I thought it was a pretty versatile amp. I especially liked the spring reverb.
I have a Fender Super Champ X2 I purchased new a few years ago. It sounds great with my Strat. I only play in the house, I do not gig anymore. I do not use the effects often. Just use it in channel one. I miss the spring reverb.
I'm mostly just looking for a bit more versatility. And I like it clean.

I don’t have one but I remember people on TGP raving about them. If memory serves there are a couple versions of them with varying desirability.

I'm not familiar with the different versions but I had a green one for a spell, and I loved it for the tone in that size and value.

I had a blues jr iii black. The reverb could get very wet, which I liked. I think the iv model may not have as much reverb range. I also only play at home and I bought an attenuator for the blues jr because I read that you get the best tone if you peg the master volume at 12. I found this to be true. The amp came alive with a slight breakup at 12 that you can’t do at bedroom volume without an attenuator. I sold the amp because I found the tone to be dark and bluesy, and I wanted clearer and jazzier. I also found the overdrive sound to be boxy. I ended up with a’65 Princeton reissue which has great cleans at low volume and also has the wet spring reverb.

I owned one when they first came out years ago -- didn't like it. Like Longnose I also found it to be very dark, even muddy. Also, the reverb was really wimpy. To make matters worse it suffered from the old tube rattle problem. Haven't heard one in years, however.

Mine is the Blues Jr III. I guess I've had it for at least 6 years now. I had a Hot Rode Deluxe which has great cleans, but, I wanted something where I could get some break up at a lower volume. And something smaller and lighter for gigs.

Reverb in mine is good. I actually like to use a combo of the amp's spring mixed with a digital unit I have. I think though if I was looking for something for home use with great cleans I might look at a larger amp since you don;t have to lug it around.
